At the beginning of this month I teamed up with and collaborated with one of my favorite photographers -
Nicole Conner Photography and styled a few Christmas scenes for a mini session photo shoot!
The setup was fairly easy, as we did the photo shoot on our property where we live in Leavenworth, WA. The scene was perfect for Christmas - complete with picturesque mountain views, and an abundance of trees - all planted by my husbands family!
We parked our 1947 International truck - that we normally use for our vintage rental deliveries - in-between rows of White Fir, Spruce, and Grand Fir trees, and I gathered unique vintage items from my stock pile, and we were set!
In addition to the vintage items as props, I wanted Nicole's clients to have a festive wreath to use as well! So a couple of weeks prior to the event, I foraged our property and gathered grapevines, and three different variations of tree branches to create a simple, yet beautiful winter wreath!
I was pretty proud - as this was the first time I had ever made something like this -
so I had Nicole take a couple of photos of me with my wreath, and of course my growing bump! :)
Chalkboards are always a great addition to any photo shoot, so I reached out to my sweet friend Josie, from Chalk Chic Mama, and she whipped up the most beautiful boards!
Clients could then choose from four different boards - which were all handmade by my husband - and all delightfully adding to the holiday spirit!
Another handmade item by my husband, was this charming Hot Cocoa Stand! This stand had duel purpose - not just as a cute backdrop, but clients could also warm up with a cup of cocoa once their session was over!
I just love how it turned out! Tying in with the vintage theme, I gathered a few mason jars to hold the cocoa and marshmallows, and then grabbed one of my favorite lanterns for a rustic touch. I sewed & hand stitched the "Hot Cocoa" Banner, and Chalk Chic Mama's adorable "Warm Up" chalkboard really added the perfect touch!
Over the course of the two days that the photos were taken, we had all sorts of weather: freezing temperatures, overcast & fog, light snow, full on snow storm, and then blue skies and sunshine! It made it challenging, but we were up for it!
We made a fire, the scenes were set, and we were ready to go!
How picture perfect is this family?! One sweet holiday card right here!
Prepare to feast your eyes on the most beautiful photos and be overloaded with an abundance of darling families and couples!
Full Bloom Flowers and Plants made the sweetest festive floral crowns! How darling is this couple?!
Oh don't you worry. . . this blog isn't over yet, there's more photos!
I had THE hardest time choosing photos for this post, as I really wanted to share them all!
Thank you to all of the incredible families and couples that came out to our shoot! I am looking forward to next year! If you are interested in having Christmas photos taken in 2018, be sure to contact Nicole Conner!
